Hear the heart – its pounding high
Whispering low a ceaseless sigh.
The words you spoke used to melt;
Surrendered to urges which we felt.
His eyes of crystal seldom pass;
Piercing through the heart like glass.
Blessings which our wants demand;
Like lanterns through the darkest land.
Catch me into these arms and kiss;
And save me from this cold abyss.
Your presence tastes – violaceous bait
Passion flowers of heaven’s gate.
We lie upon love’s tender porch
Sheltered from the world – its scorch
