Euphony of a kiss

Your solemn gaze and quiet
mouth traces name on the
misted mirror and smiles at
the blush suffusing my skin.

It’s impossible to believe that
the world doesn’t desire you
the way I do.

So soft, so sensual, so unreal
the way you put your lips on
mine, when only the night is
awake with tip of blue waves
caressing the shoreline.

Sometimes I feel your features
see deep into my soul, silently
singing thoughts which even I
have no idea about.

How’s it that my heart pounds
in ways it hasn’t before?

At dawn, when sun kisses the
awakening sky, it’s impossible
yes impossible to believe that
the world doesn’t desire you
the way I do.

It is a very sweet profession of love and is a perfect example of “in the eyes of the beholder” . I was wondering if the “about” is better left off at the end…

  20. Jim says:

I smile, Sanaa. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Right away, not bragging now, of the ladies the Mrs. Jim used to play golf with. They though I was special and jokingly had a list to have me if Mrs. Jim would kick the budket. Mostlyi because I would answer the phone for her when she was gone, and take, and relay their messages to Mrs. Jim. The said most husbands weren’t reliable to handle things like that.
I liked your prompt very much today. It was a welcome challenge.
