The opening couplet makes it seem like there was rain outside, but once lost in the dream, the world outside seemed to become distant. I can relate to that.
I am glad you could relate to the poem. Thanks Vinay 🙂
Just gorgeous poem! love the use of the same line for opening and closing.
Thank you so much Toni 😀 it was deliberate ❤️
Your poem feels as soft and delicate as the painting, Sanaa. I too love your deliberate use of the same line in opening and closing this beautiful work.

This makes me think of those beautiful lucid dreams that only visit us once in awhile. Beautiful description and dreamlike imagery.

The dream of your imagination is marvelous and the opening lines bring a whole new richness in the thought and creative world of dreams.
I relate to this a lot. 🙂

Enchanting atmosphere in this, Sanaa. I love the prompt. Perhaps I will have time to post. My life has been chaotic this summer.

Dreams washing from rain to the streams…words flowing in the sky. Nice contrasts, and an artful set of bookends to this delicious dream.
Thank you for your kind words Steve 🙂
How nice it is to dream good dreams. One can dream away to the heart’s content as long as necessary!
Hank

I m glad you think so, Magaly ❤️ thank you 😀
The rain does put a dampener of the sun’s smile doesn’t it? It is almost as though a dream of love has been thwarted by the change in weather, however that kiss made it seem right after all.
Thanks Robin 🙂 glad you liked it.
Incredibly beautiful.
Thank you so much Rosemary ❤
I like your usage of the word ‘dimmer’. It immediately creates a feeling of slowly going down a path. And then the reality starts fading slowly.
Good one.

So late to my reading — apologies!
Such a beautiful write. The first and last line become for me, almost like a mirror. I stand and look within…..and there is the image looking back at me….these feelings when wind blew words along the skies…..
and I love the image you’ve chosen here. The softness in the image and in your words. Just truly lovely.
Thank you so much Lillian ❤️ really appreciate it 😀
Absolutely stunning poem, Sanaa! I felt like I was in the dream of a dream.
