Repartee

Scent of ristretto and apple butter
pour whispers out unto readying
eve. Your eyes catechize as though
smoldering embers ―

Stirred, my heart pens down verse
as misty-eyed morn locks lips with
blushful night. You, and you alone
serve as incitation to bitter-sweet
poet’s muse.

Stirred, my heart pens down verse
as misty-eyed morn locks lips with
    blushful night.

There is that sudden inspiration that is recorded for posterity. Done immediately will ensure the details have not been missed or forgotten

    Hank!

A beautiful recipe for inspiration Sanaa :o) xxx

The first line, with its contrast in food stuff, was quite arresting. I think of apple butter as a sweet, homely sort of food stuff, while ristretto feels far more sophisticated.
