It seemed as though for just a moment;
Heavens above heard dreams unspoken.
A twist of fate had left me hoping;
When doors do close – another shall open.
Hope which called from across the ocean;
Had filled the heart with deep emotion.
The stage was set, the roles were chosen;
Passion is something which can’t be stolen.
Restoration of wings that once were broken;
These strings of heart shall serve as token.
What once was asleep has now awoken;
Risen in the form of natural endowment.

What a beautiful poem, Sanaa. (And thank you!) Amazing sometimes how fate can intervene in one’s life, isn’t it? I think this poem can speak of many things…not only in relationship to PU. Indeed, passion is something that cannot be stolen, but can be awakened by just the right twist of fate!

There is nothing so satisfying as to feel comfortable whether it be with family, in your favorite place or being with friends on a blogging site where you are one of the family as you say in your suffix.

I love the many symbols you use here – the sea the most obvious but also distance and the discovery of a new dream.

Sanaa, this is really touching, and it means a great deal to me that you feel about Poets United the same as I do. Finding it changed my life completely. My writing had slowed to a trickle, for lack of nurturing, and since I found this community, i have been writing steadily, which feels very good to a writer. I especially love “restoration of wings that had once been broken”. I resonate with this poem very much. And so beautifully written. Plus a gorgeous photo. Thank you for this gift, to start my morning with.
