Let the rain pour down;
Awaken memoirs of the past.
The grass with its green;
Give life to hope at last.

The cold summer rain;
Has drenched our soul.
Running wild and free;
Having lost control.

So until the last drop;
Till the rain has stopped.
Skip dance and hop;
Till either one has dropped.

    A rain poem— read on a day when it’s raining where I am. And we can use the rain since the sheep pasture is getting a little sparse, leading to sheep escapes.
    I liked your use of rhyme in the poem, it added a lot to the beauty of the finished product.
