Shrouded in the morning clouds;
Reclining farmlands of Luoping.
Far from the jostling crowds;
Hear the voice of maiden sing.
Clad in the colors of Irish rose;
She wove the garlands of repose.
The calming wind averts our gloom;
Golden rapeseed full in bloom.
Parallel to the sound of heart;
She gave her silent word to keep.
Announcing that she must depart;
She fled into the shadows deep.
Ignorant that the path ahead was steep.
Over the years as I assumed;
Sought to follow her trail, consumed.
Golden rapeseed full in bloom.
Long to hear her voice and sing;
As merry as the birds in Spring
Dejection causing heart to sting;
Alas! What changes time can bring.
Whisper of loveβs a cherished thing;
A hundred years shall go to praise.
To fond memories with hope shall cling;
Golden rapeseed full in bloom.
A few could touch the magic strings;
Befuddle one with their glance.
Rising on its golden wings;
Golden rapeseed full in bloom.

I wonder what happened to the girl, vanished it seems. Even in the quiet innocent country there is dark mystery. Loved this!! And the Irish mention, nice touch.
