Each day takes its turn

Spread the love

I latchkeyed my way into
the month of May, while
marmalading few classic
cream scones.

What? The mind is spent
you say? Coffee the muse
if its restoration that you
sigh for, as even crocuses
close at night.

I have found that once in
a while even despair can
be cowarded.

  1. Marmelading …. wonderful verb.. Yes May is around the corner and now we have to find muses not bound by duty.

  2. Oh, I love the marmalading, and cowarded as the final word is brilliant.
Thank you for sharing your work in this month of poetry writing.

    1. Thank you so much, Kerry 😀 so glad you liked it ❤️

(it was a pleasure writing poetry this month)

  3. That is great verbification, Sanaa! I love ‘latchkeyed my way into the month of May’ and:
‘I have found that once in
    a while even despair can
    be cowarded’.

  4. A very fine ending to this month – with just the right touch of “verbing” – well done Sanaa and enjoy your coffee and cakes.
