Desire is like standing at crossroads

A cold night, a lucid moon borrowing
body heat,
as though it were a cup of sugarβ€”
I look into his eyes and room fills
with fragrance, a hillbilly love song
is playing on jukebox;
how’s it that conversation erupts
without saying a word?
