Landing on both feet
is
nothing
short of art, I realize as she
jumps
gracefully from
top of the crabapple tree,
I’d always hit a branch
or get caught
in deep darkness red,
tell me,
what would you dust off and
say to me?

Merril is our lovely hostess at dVerse and the word is “Crab.” Come join us! 🩷
This is a delightful crab apple quadrille, Sanaa! I remember being that child who would jump out of a tree.
Thank you so much, Kim 😀 so glad the poem resonated with you 💄❤️
Very nicely done! Hope you don’t break a leg jumping from the tree!
Thank you so much, Dwight 😀 so good to see you 💄❤️
Lovely, Sanaa. You have me wondering who “she” is. I imagined a cat. But if I was graceful enough, I’d definitely say hi. 😊
Thank you so much, Merril 😀 so glad you enjoyed it 💄❤️
(and thank you for the glorious prompt) 🥂
I’d say you were a poet not an athlete Sanaa
Absolutely! Thanks for stopping by, Laura 💄❤️

Our crab apple wasn’t big enough to climb, but I’ve climbed many other apple trees. Thanks for the memories xx
Jumping gracefully out of any tree would be beyond me!
I have never seen a crabapple tree; it’s beautiful!
