Cave

In one fleeting moment;
The Sun caressed the sparkling blue sea.
Rowing across, the oars kissed ripples of hope;
As we stare in awe at the wonders of this Earth.

The Sun caressed the sparkling blue sea;
Feel the warmth upon your skin.
As we stare in awe at the wonders of this Earth;
Echo each thought in Nature surround.

Feel the warmth upon your skin;
Rowing across, the oars kissed ripples of hope.
Echo each thought in Nature surround;
In one fleeting moment.

    The sea is so alive and gives great inspiration. This is lovely with a sweet touch of romance as the sun sets on (another poem)

    Man…that is the cave I want to be in…lol!!! The repeating lines made the foundation for this poem so solid. It matched the feeling I got when I saw that picture perfectly. It was like coming down and sitting by the ocean, the relaxation tools over. Great writing, thanks!

    Can’t quite place the form–a sort of shortened villanelle, I suppose–anyway–the word ‘sparkling’ reflects through and through here.
