Bird of Passage

I come from spring buds dappled in sunshine gold;
damsel of most delicate mould. Pebbled shores and
wild woods of thickening green; and oh myriad hues
that lie somewhere between. I’m a child of the ocean
swathed in shades of blue.

I come from temperate zones and balmy afternoons;
gentle breeze beneath thus gracious moon. Dwelling
with a strangely aching heart; whilst wandering thru
a darkling glade. Travels and toils most oft are made;
as though volatileΒ images of sleet and shade.

Thus when the clock begins to chime;
Reminded of home and simpler times.
