Amongst the laburnum spring flowers

There is heaven in rosy cheeks;
sweet spice
in the eloquent silence of a kiss,
it’s not the dance
that fills the body with thunder,
rather it’s delight
that mirrors my own in certain ways
only spring comprehends.
He has become my favorite ache.
