Untitled (open-and-shut)

I can see you, watching me from a corner
I said nothing, but oh past day and night,
I’m tired, of your cherry picking, parallel,
to wild winter’s spite.

I knew in a nutshell that you deemed me
invisible, heard murmur of voices, rising
like a cloud of ash and smoke.

I can see you, whispering around a corner
I asked nothing but oh past day and night,
I’m tired, of your mudslinging, parallel to,
stars shot down on summer night.

Listen up cause here’s my secret, strength
and dignity are both my clothing. I smile,
and rise above sweet gloom, cause life’s a
roller-coaster, which everyone, has to ride
through.

Believe most valuable things in life cannot
be seen with the naked eye.

    So very very true.

  2. I remember this from my youth:
‘I knew in a nutshell that you deemed me
invisible, heard murmur of voices, rising
like a cloud of ash and smoke’.
But then, when you get to my again you’re invisible again!
    Nicely written, Sanaa. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Bravo! For both the poetics and the sentiments.

  4. Marian says:

For me this is the clincher:
“Listen up cause hereโ€™s my secret, strength
and dignity are both my clothing.”
Got to keep this front of mind when one becomes invisible.
    Really nice, Sanaa. ๐Ÿ™‚

    My take, Sanaa,
I’m tired of being treated like a wall.
I have ears and eyes or did you forget?
I enjoyed reading your thoughts here.
