The Poetry of You

Do you see the poem
happening to me when I look at you?
I know I do,
a hint of rose on your skin,
whispering
of something unspoken, every inhale
drawn with intent.
And now, the garden stirs around us,
will you stay forever?

I confess there are magic in those words for a reader. They flow, the merge, they melt. That very last line just may just have the slightest hint of obsessive danger…

My husband and I were just talking about this. How some people bring you out in the most beautiful way.
