Richer meanings and umber dawns

It’s as complicated as you want it to be. Petals of burnt umber horizon, at ease with the fluidity of time, scatter themselves so as to make city streets seem brighter; how did I not see them before?

I can feel it. Much more, than I could before the first time it seized me, roughly so, by the shoulders. The air is sweet, but mouth? My mouth is dry. It is parched like the land that awaits the promise of life-giving rain. You see, emotions are a form of bio-chemical account that exist in all living things; but too much, can leave one as wild horses in need of a soul whisperer.

Not a bouquet or chocolate tart, I ask for empathy that resides within your heart. It is a moon wrapped in brown paper. It caters to those who need its light. Undoubtedly.

Maybe the easiest of gifts are the hardest to give… we always crave love but maybe it’s just a little bit of compassion that we really crave

A beautiful piece of prose from the master of the romantic! Of course!

    Sanaa, please write your novel.

Was nice to see you back…like being struck by lightning can be nice, I think, in the right circumstances. Warming, that’s for sure.

    Please, write your novel.

  15. I have been that horse, in your poem, in need of a soul whisperer. This was a walk down memory lane for me. Before I knew I was a writer, I didnt write. Emotions, of course, would overflow and darkness would spread inside. Really nice piece Sanaa

  16. *appreciative finger snapping*

I had not thought to relate the moon to empathy, but it’s a good match.
