Nothing is planted without forethought

Changing the world is something that’s done a little at a time, it’s when creative minds dream up new ideas, new possibilities and technologies. Just as seedlings, which after so long asleep, wake. Their leaves, at first pale, infuse with green. That being said, in order to accomplish the said task, we must first understand ourselves.

The path requires us to change the way we normally approach things, which, at first, seems easy to do. The hard part, however, is finding the courage to walk away from the well-trodden path; repeating the same old pattern would mean repeating the devastation.

I am a sensitive being, so it’s easier for me to get caught up in the whirlwind. I’d like too, to plant the sweet alyssum that smells like honey and peace. It’s the only sure-fire way to grow into the person that meets challenges.

I think often we are not just afraid to walk that untrodden path, we have forgotten to even look for crossroads. Maybe we sometimes have to close our eyes and follow the sent to make those new discoveries.

    Very thoughtful philosophizing, Sanaa.

I enjoyed your thoughtful reflections. They resonate as I feel a sense of regiment shadowing our world. How true that we cannot plant without foresight, but need to think of the path we wish to forge before setting out. Love the way your chosen line slips into this.

  4. Beautifully written, Sanaa! We who are sensitive beings really do get caught up in the whirlwinds around us!

I love the idea of the different path – the one less taken? – and I understand how hard it is to take it. The garden motif works really well here, and your tone echoes the prompt line so well that it slips in seamlessly.

You veered, or weaved out of the garden and into life, and back very nicely.

  7. Beautifully said, Sanaa! You show so much understanding that some people never learn! ❤️🌸

A powerful well-written piece! Too many people choose to be ‘comfortably numb’.

    Brilliant ending to this prosery.

  13. A seed caught in between the cracks in the path learns to adapt to its surroundings and will grow no matter the circumstances. I love the analogy of human growth and seeds that persist. This was beautiful Sanaa ☺️❤️

You wear Poetic philosophy beautifully, Sanaa …

  15. Raivenne says:

Ah, your introspective reflections resonate, Sanaa. The choosing the different road is not always easy and your analogy is on point here. Beautifully and beautifully penned.

  16. Mary says:

Much to think about, I too can get caught in whirlwind. I posted but late.
