The Earth has music;
For those who listen.
High atop the trees;
The sunlight glistens.
Amongst His early signs;
The heaven and earth.
Long before humans;
Had even taken birth.
The surface of the Earth;
A shore of cosmic ocean.
Hence, living in a world;
Of perpetual motion.
Does wisdom perhaps;
Appear on earth as raven?
The closest we have;
To what we call haven.
Alas! Permit the Earth;
To beauty and joy!
Its nature perhaps;
A victim of decoy!
The Earth has music;
For those who listen.
High atop the trees;
The sunlight glistens.

“A victim of decoy!” When there is no wisdom–or when we don’t know where to look for it–the earth is the first victim. Everything bright and beautiful in this poem is threatened by that one line.

Happy Earth Day! Have a wonderful day ahead!
Of all the creatures mankind seems to have the worst hearing and is unconscious to the earth’s cry for help. Soon it will be our children crying for help as well. How sad it is that poets should be more aware of such danger while politicians and industries grow fat.

So true Sanaa the earth has a distinct voice and then a collective voice of its inhabitants. I think God hears more beauty from Earth’s song than the complaints of the masses.
I like the way this wraps around Ms Sunny and the shot from above is a fine perspective π
