Spellbound; I sought to lie under
shade of his lashes,
write down emotions that smolder,
soft rolling verse,
as sunset blossoms upon cloudโ
I am no longer callous,
I see shape of him in everything
that surrounds.
How I wish I could tell him.

Of course he knows, unless he’s a knucklehead. I have always had long lashes, so this touched me deeply. As a child, my mother sometimes had to unsnarl my lashes when I woke up.
