Out the window

At length these thoughts whirled round inside the brain; with drops of rain caressing the window pane. HauntingΒ –Β these outerΒ precincts which don shades of bliss; as though to capture moments lost in time. What secrets lie amid the chaos and confusion; so dark and muffled upon these rooftops. I squint past obscure to touch and sense; allowing shock and change to keep me sane.

Streetlights burn with hope,
as rain pelts down on doubt
dawn of a new beginning.

I love your rooftop thoughts, Sanaa, I like rooftops, rooftop views, and rooftop writings. Yours makes me want to come see.
Some of my pictures have rooftops, mostly the other blog. But a ‘search doesn’t do justice. My favorite was from Bordeaux, France, hotel room.
BTW, you have a pretty skyline but I don’t recognize it. Thank you, lovely picture too.

  5. I’ve always loved the rain. These words really struck me “Haunting – these outer precincts which don shades of bliss” – they read like a prose poem introducing the tone of your short poem. There is beauty in that rain, and in your short poem – hopefully the sun will soon shine through the sadness. Thanks for sharing.
