Breaking the Hold

Lift is a quiet push forward,
a hand reaching upward,
the surge of breath after silence.
It is a steady climb,
an unseen force beneath wings,
a heart rising despite weight.
Lift is movement,
the courage to ascend
when gravity urges one to stay.
