Call me romantic, but

Until sun sinks
below
the horizon,
and evening frost starred with puddles
near the ferry catches eye,
until snow
tips pine trees
and we add cranberries
and silk magnolia blossoms
for touch
of Southern charm,
I promise to love you until the very end.

This feels oddly American to me, which has me wondering about India, and what kind of trees are there. And the ending of the poem carries a finality large nd heavy and , well, very final.
