Winds of change do beckon – recall
As seasons change from spring to fall.
Let them linger through rains of fate;
The voice of reason’s a limited trait.
Change inevitable – change unknown;
Whatever was veiled will soon be shown.
A wisp of beauty all on its own.
Be calm in frenzy Β and smile in pain;
Remember in life – be open to change.
Winds of change do reckon – recall
Declare that winter is best of all.
The season full of hardship – trouble
Reminds that life’s a perfect puzzle.
People so lost in solemn and strange;
Remember in life – be open to change.

Form: Rondeau
Oh! what a great poetic form and how well you did it. And the message in the form about changes – remember in life be open to change. Excellent message. Thank you for writing to the prompt and for submitting.

I like the refrain: Winds of change do reckon β recall –
But the best season for me is spring, not winter ~ Change is indeed inevitable ~

You know it was in some of the hardest seasons of my life that we created some of the best memories. And what is hidden will be made known for sure. Change is always in the air.
And thank you for the very warm comment over at PU. Pleasure knowing you as well Sanaa.

Since nothing remains in stasis, it is good to bend with those winds, & adopt a favorite along the way; Spring for me too.

One of the toughest thing in life is how we can appreciate change, and we need the winter to appreciate the spring.

Good use of the rondeau..it makes a good singalong. Each season has its high points but to me summer is all about full blooms, delicious scents, lazy days and living slow.

I love the parallel of life’s changes to the season’s changes. Beautifully done

A beautiful rondeau…very well written and enjoyable. All the seasons have their own, particular traits of change and beauty. Life itself is change and you point out a good lesson to heed…acceptance of that change.

Lovely rondeau, one of my favorite forms. My initial reaction is to vehemently disagree that winter is best, as it is my least favorite of the seasons. In fact, I greatly dislike it. But your next line reminded me of the growth that I’ve experienced and the compassion I’ve learned as a result of my own hardships and you’ve shown me a value to winter that I hadn’t seen before. Very thoughtful and thought-provoking piece. Thanks. Peace, Linda

Even more appreciation for this poem the second time around! I do think we have to adapt with / flow with change. And I like the idea as well that whatever is veiled will eventually be seen!

Many crave for an unchanging world where they are comfortable but the only certain thing in life and the world around us is change. Of course this is sad but we must be prepared and accept it part of life and constantly move on. A beautiful poem Sanaa.

So nicely done within the form. Change is the only constant. Why are we always so surprised when it happens??

Indeed, we cannot control nature, we don’t know what wind will bring us…esp. with changes everywhere….at least we have to be open to change….
