Whispered tales sprang out from the dark;
Floating in pearly dusk of Spring.
Nor rivers flow nor sweet birds sing;
Thus silence flails on drooping leaves.
Lichen on stones and moss on eaves.
Oh Gaia bring new world to birth;
Floweret band to bind thus earth.
Such strange attainment in your touch;
Lo! whom could hate or bear a grudge,
Come and shine for all you’re worth.

Hello Linda,

Lovely – it trips along like a bubbling brook. The joy of spring is shot through in it. I think you could change the “you are” in the last line to “you’re” and have the right number of syllables and meter. I know it’s American usage, but that’s what I’d do.
