“May our heart’s garden of awakening bloom with hundreds of flowers.” ― Thich Nhat Hanh
Deeper than roses the expression of eyes
Stirring within oh fresh budding hope ―
Halting, I stand in awe towards you gaze
Utter but whisper trembling in the wind
Love’s both jagged thorns and petals pretty
I smile as wisdom filled with fragrance blooms ―
For it’s only with heart that we rightly see

Coming in late to extoll your virtues, there’s is a substantial queue in front of me–your short poem is very metaphoric & romantic, but we must not forget that the heart is the vertex/hum of emotion, & too often it gets snagged on the thorns of the dishonest & deceitful.
Definitely, thank you for your kind and wise words, Glenn 🙂
