While gazing at you;
Reminded of a mirror.
Persona as such;
Smooth flowing river.
Crushing the rules;
Of brevity.
As such our flowing;
Chemistry.
Eyes thus denote;
An innocence so pure.
Charming smile possess;
The power to allure.
Crushing the rules;
Of brevity.
As such our flowing;
Chemistry.
While power of speech;
Evoking sense of grace.
Long to seek comfort;
In your loving embrace.
Crushing the rules;
Of brevity.
As such our flowing;
Chemistry.
Seem to be blessed;
Being your descendant.
For love and support;
Equally dependent.
Crushing the rules;
Of brevity.
As such our flowing;
Chemistry.
(This gorgeous lady, Iffat Jehan, aged 89 is my paternal grandmother. I’m often told to look just like her.)
We all make our lives out of family and upbringing. How rewarding it is for others to comment on us being like our parents or grandparents for they are in still. How well you wrote this piece.
Hello Old Egg,
Thank you so much, so glad you liked it 😀
Highly appreciated! Lots of love 🙂

Bravo! This is like an endless tide rolling in and out of the river to sing the refrain:
“Crushing the rules;
Of brevity.
As such our flowing;
Chemistry.”
Perhaps it is the same generation to generation, but we see it through this mirror, this special grandparent and her Grace.

(Thank you for your kind words on my blog, especially today. My mother-in-law is 95 and I cared for her a long time before placing her in a nursing home. She is in no pain, and in spite of her mind that misfires constantly, she seems very happy. I am so grateful!)
Hello Myrna,
Its nice to know that she isn’t in pain, to be 95 years old is a huge deal! 🙂
