If fruit be on a limb – why not risk and reach?
We might as well fall flat than slip backwards again.
Life lived in excess, still dare and continue – dream
For fear of being choked – does one refuse to eat?
We might as well fall flat than slip backwards again.
When faced with risk – consider two paths;
To kindle or to restrain.
Life lived in excess, still dare and continue – dream
In dreams we leave our woes behind;
Whatever we wish – we keep.
For fear of being choked – does one refuse to eat?
The music though not immortal;
The world has made it sweet.

Interesting trimeric dip into philosophy. One must drive & even live defensively, & yet we must face fear, & reach beyond our grasp, or we’ll just take up empty space & never venture out of an illusion we have of a safe zone. Your last stanza is killer.

Oh we must dare sometimes, the tantalizing sweetness or just hunger make us combing out a limb… Alas plain greed can be rage reason too, so we need some carefulness as well.

Taking risks is sometimes what keeps life interesting and gives us a sense of aliveness. I guess it’s finding that fine line between taking a risk and being downright foolhardy.

Such introspective questions but mankind has that nature to explore one step further than safety. By doing so has achieved marvelous things. Dare we take that risk? Yes even we writers do!
