For fear of being choked – does one refuse to eat?

When faced with risk – consider two paths;
To kindle or to restrain.

In dreams we leave our woes behind;
Whatever we wish – we keep.
For fear of being choked – does one refuse to eat?
The music though not immortal;

Interesting trimeric dip into philosophy. One must drive & even live defensively, & yet we must face fear, & reach beyond our grasp, or we’ll just take up empty space & never venture out of an illusion we have of a safe zone. Your last stanza is killer.

Although rhyming is not a requirement for this form, I think that having the last stanza’s first and last lines rhyme gave this a wonderful punch. Bravo!!
