You’re fire
and sometimes ice
Oh, touch engraved
on unassuming skin.
Desire burns
and it’s hard
to distinguish lone
sensation.
Your words pierce
as ice,
while gaze warms
as fire.
And,
yet towards want
does my heart aspire.

Our frame of reference is Fire & Ice from the title of Robert Frost’s poem.
funny (but not in a ha ha way) how we can get burned by either fire or ice.
Definitely 🙂 thanks for stopping by, Angie ❤️
Yes, love is all of that – fire and ice, all mixed together. A turbulent ride. Hold on tight. Smiles.

The way ice can burn is in a way so much deeper than the fire… but worst is that lack of burn.

while gaze warms
as fire’.

Yes dear Sanaa – the irresistibility of desire works right across the spectrum – once snared, delight dances whatever, savouring the prospect of delicious surrender… Again love the vitality in your work…
