I climbed up rock-ribbed steps panting
thump bump thump went my footsteps,
here prayer is heard and saints are seen
beneath woodlands are stretching green.

Asudden darkness loomed, oh breath in
a tomb confined, where deep and nether
hermit was left to lie. I gasp, speechless.

“Finch, sparrow and hawk” he mumbled,
before I could decipher that information,
a blood curdling scream pierced the air ―

Blinded, by the unforgiving sun, I heard a
booming voice, coming from beneath the
mountains. ‘Hustler!’ I climb up carrying
thought, that entered, breaking free from
cold prison of my mind.

In a flash the message came through loud
and clear, ‘be mindful of earth’s resources
aware of the timing of your actions and to
sing our soul’s song.’

If you think that’s enough, to make things
better, then I have a bridge to sell you.
