I listen to the voice of Nature’s soul;
The leaves in autumn shine like gold.
The calming breeze soothes the nerves;
What more of miracle could be told.
The leaves in autumn shine like gold;
I half forget how time has flown.
What more of miracle could be told;
How Nature affects the young and old.
I half forget how time has flown;
The calming breeze soothes the nerves.
How Nature affects the young and old;
I listen to the voice of Nature’s soul.

Form: Β Pantoum
Nature has an old soul, and relating nature to a mother is fitting as she cares for us whenever we come. And no matter how long it is between our visits. Effective use of form too, as nature often seems to move in cycles.

Hi Sunny,
__How time has flown… such a warm vision and spurring verse! It seems that just last week I was 12 years old, but realistic accounting points to… 65 years ago.
__My humble echo, as the leaves fall too_.

Beautiful! I love the pantoum and it works quite well for this topic. I think that the key to a great pantoum is crafting the right first line, which becomes the last line. You have done just that. Peace, Linda
