I gaze upon calm and insouciant blue
that seems to embrace a crimson lake,
urging my heart not tremble at sound
for fear oh breath may dream dismiss.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like
to be me steeped in shades of autumn,
care to advise as to why my heart into
your web of lies descends.

Love, if I could persuade day and night
would impede hours so as to make you
stay, can’t bear to waste sweet moment
knowing our world is soon to end.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like
to be me baffled by your changing face,
care to advise as to why my soul defies
in order to make amends.

Love, if I could shuffle light and dark
would empower hope lest you should
stray, can’t bear oh thought of waking
to a world where sorrow cannot name
its friend.

I gaze upon calm and insouciant blue
that seems to embrace a crimson lake,
urging my heart not tremble at sound
for fear oh breath may dream dismiss.
