Daylight arrives as the kind of rays that soothe the soul,
Outlining brilliant orange that hides behind the grayish sky;

Yielding not to thoughts that overthrow, despair and woes,
Obey, I obey, tracing tenderly the opposite of what overwhelms,
Uncompromising; my spirit, my essence, my very core.

There are things I will never escape,
Hypothetical, these thoughts that arise from the depths;
Indigo intention, come let us dust away all that stands in the way,
Nothing will ever change otherwise; does it cross your mind?
Kissable, come let us chase sunsets knowing they soon will fade.

Who holds your hand, warm enough when nearly
there are things I will always wonder, cappuccino
with passing mauve, be it lips, be it clouds, you
know it’s true, these questions run deep, atomic
tangerine, the horizon, eyes remember ache, acacia
clusters of white flowers typically thorny, amen.
Sleep doesn’t come easy when passages are abridgedΒ
its pattern not predictable, but words deserve a place,
let us be brazen, let us be bold, this heart abandon
not dreams that beg admission;
give in, golden in their wholesomeness, in their entirety.
