Undoubtedly, you

Spread the love

And seldom does one see your kind,
as though budding shrubs, late autumn
I observe, enthralled by their hue,
reflection.

Is this same me, is it undoubtedly you

I thought as memories hung from
every branch and limb, as twilight
woke to prayers and hymn.

It all comes down to the last person

we think of before we sleep, for
that’s where our heart resides
unmistakably-

    Such gentle truth!
    And I love the
    ‘…memories hung from
every branch and limb, as twilight
    woke to prayers and hymn’.

Very real assertion Sanaa! Invariably the thought lingers on into the sub-conscious and so gets into the dream mode

I wish it was true… there are so many memories I don’t want to have the haunt me in my dreams… I will try to go asleep with good thoughts.

Lovely thought to think that the last person one thinks about before one sleeps is where one’s heart resides!! This is one of my favorites of yours, Sanaa.

A lovely poem and it makes me wonder if the one you think of before you fall asleep is thinking of you in the same manner?

The last stanza says so much and is beautifully written. it seems the heart knows who to remember.
