To the Sun

The windows of thy soul,
Thrown wide open,
To the Sun.

Pray do not fancy,
This for a Pun!

The Sun hath rays,
Bright and warm,
Risen in the East,
Such is thy norm.

Flip thy hair,
Giveth a spun.
Smile while ye sparkle,
Bright in the Sun.

The windows of thy Soul,
Thrown wide open,
To the Sun.

Pray do not fancy,
This for a Pun!

  1. Perhaps it was not so long ago that mankind in their wisdom worshiped the sun for the obvious benefits it bestowed on them. But foolishly we wanted more and now look where we are. How right you are to say “Smile while ye sparkle”.

  2. This poem was fun. I like the idea of opening up the windows of our souls, then spin in the sun. Light does us good. Enjoyed your poem.
