The Open Door

Hush that has long faded from this world
one that allows our bosom to breathe free,
let us bequeath woe to oh wandering stars.
I felt my weary soul kiss blossoming grass,
as eyelids closed and lay restless limbs.

I watch as breath mingled with thought as
though dew that sleeps on petals, dirt that
lines the earth and skies ablaze as fire that
runs though my veins, there’s deeper truth
that burns in dark and dreamy gaze.

Unleash the burden carried willingly until
its time to let go.

This is an absolute beauty Sanaa. Each stunning image seems to rise from the bottomless depth within. To the poets word is meditation. The poem itself is ‘Yoga’. So lovely! Thank you. Thank you.

    “breath mingled with thought as
though dew that sleeps on petals, dirt that
lines the earth and skies ablaze as fire that
    runs though my veins”

Amazing! Thinking of thought this way helps to clarify how it sullies yoga engagement. Lovely mixing of positives and negatives–breath on thought becoming dirt lining the earth. Gosh.
