The Jewel

Spread the love

My heart is technicolor
inhaling colors of the cave
cobalt, rose and gold
I whisper walking around the fold
until one shade gazed into my soul
gifting me growth and starry calm
poised around my nape
now shine dark emeralds

  1. Mary says:

A technicolor heart – I like that! To me this seems a heart that can experience all the riches of a colorful world.

  2. Wendy Bourke says:

I have been in the incredible caves of the South Dakota badlands, and your brilliant extended metaphor is so evocatively sketched … fascinating … A beautiful bit of writing!
