Summer Love

Spread the love

tulips-red-yellow-field

Descending from heaven’s wide blue arch,
The glimmering fires of muse enlarge.
Beyond the hill, she called to me,
A fortunate stroke of serendipity.

An indication, of where the heart belonged,
Events which followed all Summer long;
Were makings of one adventurous song.
Building dreams along the way,
Sacred, pure, eternal bond.

Your absence gives me pause to sigh,
Turn to gaze upon the sky.
Inside each flower and simple bell
Deepest thoughts find room to dwell.
Believe words alone can not convey
Sacred, pure, eternal bond.

  1. I admire the adventurous song, and making of: Sacred, pure, eternal bond. I also like the rhyming verses:
Inside each flower and simple bell
Deepest thoughts find room to dwell,

  2. What a joyous piece – absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder…and we of course loved skipping through all those wonderful flowers..particularly getting inside those simple bells.
