It was indeed serendipity
that I should happen to run into you,
as though melting waves on shore.

Moments fleet, except for feeling
of rapture, as autumn continues
to dance in the breeze.

And I’d choose you in a hundred
lifetimes, not because it’s convenient
but because I’d rather blaze as fire
than be scattered as dust.
