Spread the love

It was indeed serendipity
that I should happen to run into you,
as though melting waves on shore.

Moments fleet, except for feeling
of rapture, as autumn continues
to dance in the breeze.

And I’d choose you in a hundred
lifetimes, not because it’s convenient
but because I’d rather blaze as fire
than be scattered as dust.

  1. I especially love the last lines in this Sanaa .. Reminds me of Neil Young actually…

    My my, hey hey
Rock and roll is here to stay
    It’s better to burn out
    Than to fade away
    My my, hey hey

  2. The important thing in romantic poetry for me is to feel that I am a protagonist in the words which I was able to do here. Romance is always better when it blazes!

  3. Nice, Sanaa ~~ In Texas we have a Country and Western (CW) song, “We got married in a fever, hotter than a pepper sprout.” I think it would be nice to have a fiery hot romance, guess my memory isn’t good enough to remember the temperature of mine. Yours?
