Rendezvous

Spread the love

Calm now, hush oh’ trembling heart
hear murmur soft of cloudless night,
wander not with malaise, nor waltz
with gloom; through dismal, dreary
path there glimmers beacon of light.

I dream of mallow fields, (blooming)
shades oh’ periwinkle and red, swirl
along-with breeze, chance encounter
with faith.

Calm now, hush oh’ wavering heart
hear murmur bold of roseate morn,
loiter not with despair, nor pirouette
with blues; through desolate, dingy
path there glimmers beacon of light.

I dream of mallow fields, (blooming)
shades oh’ periwinkle and red, swirl
along-with breeze, chance encounter
with faith.

  1. Susan says:

This is an enticing reminder that if we can deny the expected partners, we’ll find the miracles. I love the refrain of dream.

  2. Myrna says:

Love this Sanaa. It speaks of those dark days we all endure and affirms that chance encounter, when faith helps us transcend. Lovely writing. Agree that it is a beautiful sun.

  3. Old Egg says:

Once you have had a chance encounter with faith grab it by the hand and don’t let it go as you may need it again and again. What a beautifully envisioned poem Sanaa.

  4. Magical Mystical Teacher says:

Thank goodness for chance encounters. If we didn’t have them, some of us would have nothing at all…

  5. Elecee says:

Lovely written words for a “chance encounter” with the beauty of nature. I am hopeful for spring and such encounters 🙂
ExcellenT inspiration you’ve received from the Bard of Onley ,,
