Perfection

Spread the love

0fe7f0702b1b935d24878af2aff77283

I strive to find the words;
To bring me close towards,
To clear the misconception,
To answer without a question.
Our small but distinct flaws;
Didn’t matter just because….

I glanced in your
direction;
A rose of sheer
perfection.

Ocean of colors blue;
Proved it plain and true.
For though in numbers few;
These verses were written for you.
I strive to find those words;
Which brings me close towards….

I glanced in your
direction;
A rose of sheer
perfection.

Oh clear the misconceptions;
Lets answer without the questions.
Our flaws distinct and small;
Didn’t matter just because,
My rhymes and all my verbs;
As sudden as flight of birds….

I glanced in your
direction;
A rose of sheer
perfection.

Your virtue can my language paint;
And leave me not to fall or faint.
I strive to find the words because;
To let the world know root of cause.
Won’t you hear? Oh read my thoughts
Just in case we come across….

I glanced in your
direction;
A rose of sheer
perfection.

    What an ideal subject choice for this first prompt…..there are few things that more aptly fit the description for perfection than a rose!

  2. Mary says:

    Everyone has small flaws, but in their own way – but hopefully everyone is a ‘rose of sheer perfection’ to someone.

    “Let’s answer without the questions”

    Luv the ‘ love sync ‘ implied in that line, my favourite of the entire poem

    Thanks for dropping in at my Sunday Lime Sanaa

    Much love…

  4. Jae Rose says:

    Ahh..the intoxication of love…sometimes we can’t help but look..maybe that’s good however! Happy new year to you Sanaa – and very good to read your work again too

  5. Gayle Walters Rose says:

    Beautiful song of love, Sanaa. Perhaps it is only in the early days of love that we see perfection in each other however that soon fades to reality. I wonder about perfection and whether or not it truly exists.

  6. Wendy Bourke says:

    Loved this piece – so romantic with just the lightest touch of whimsy … for, of course, no one is “sheer perfection” … unless they are someone’s beloved. A wonderful write, Sanaa.

    How so trying when it comes to relationships starting out! But once clicked then there is no saying of any more of time-wasting. A genuine love of a loved one will always give rather than take!

    Lovely song! Roses are indeed the perfect flower of all flowers! Also important to find the ‘rose’ inside ourselves …from self-love the way to love other ~ Happy New Year to you, Sanaa!
