How she taught

reading_a_book_under_a_tree-wallpaper-800x600

Like rays of moon pouring through;
As constellations reel and dance.
She sought to have our skills enhance.

Beneath the time’s flowing tide;
Bless the thoughts that made me sail.
And higher aims that still prevail.

Though years have passed – recall her words
To stimulate like the moistest herbs.
Her mysteries one can not explain;
How rainbows appear – when there’s no rain.
Fit for a Poet’s finest thoughts;
Can’t long forget – how she taught.

Recuperation

girl-lavender-field-2880x1800

Our vision clouded with pain and grief;
Like speck of dust from grass to leaf.
A storm of sighs forever blow;
Sometimes fast  and sometimes slow.
Let out what you’ve trapped inside;
Cast your doubts and fear aside.
Refuse to run – refuse to hide.
Many a bosom sheathed in brass;
Heard me whisper – this too shall pass.

Hope – a long and winding road
For miles we lighten each other’s load.
Love – a stream which downward flowed
Our hearts are filled and heads are bowed.
Some made of steel and some of glass;
Heard me whisper – this too shall pass.

Choices

7007902-mood-girl-dandelion-seeds-flower-sun

The life we live is governed by choices;
Don’t turn around or look ahead.
Be sure to listen to inner voices;
To focus on the present instead.

Who’s to say what life has in store;
Don’t live to be a troubled soul.
Though in life some rain must pour;
Don’t fall into the deepest hole.

The doors we open and close each day;
Are choices that shape our destiny.
Into their vastness – we steal away
Life is brevity – death finality.

Be mindful of your every act;
Torn between wishes and fact.

Smile

happy-woman-with-beautiful-smile-253486

Let your voice sing through the clouds;
Your spirit shine among the crowds.
To what can reason such effect assign;
Paint the world your thoughts divine.

Smile as if you’ve
nothing to lose;
Nothing to gain while
singing the blues.

These hopes do battle to and fro;
Trail of emotions ebb and flow.
Let your heart save broken lives;
Their rainbow’s end is hemmed with knives.

Smile as if you’ve
nothing to lose;
Nothing to gain while
singing the blues.

This life we live is oh so short;
Several who lack love and support.
Let your mind indulge and choose;
How would it be – placed in their shoes.

Smile as if you’ve
nothing to lose;
Nothing to gain while
singing the blues.

Winds Of Change

four-seasons-nature-square-christina-rollo

Winds of change do beckon – recall
As seasons change from spring to fall.
Let them linger through rains of fate;
The voice of reason’s a limited trait.
Change inevitable – change unknown;
Whatever was veiled will soon be shown.
A wisp of beauty all on its own.
Be calm in frenzy  and smile in pain;
Remember in life – be open to change.

Winds of change do reckon – recall
Declare that winter is best of all.
The season full of hardship – trouble
Reminds that life’s a perfect puzzle.
People so lost in solemn and strange;
Remember in life – be open to change.
