Of Poems and Early Mornings

Spread the love

At the blush of dawn put a pen to
paper and gather oh restless soul.
In the midst of scribbled thoughts
let out a deep sigh, breathe in the
morning air saturated with dreams
and prayer. A poem is a glimpse of
murmuring heart.

The thought of that glimpse is excellent… I usually have a hard time appreciating mornings though… maybe because they are grey and cold.

if there is the time, it is a sacred moment, a chance to connect …. a gift to hold as the day unfolds … 🙂

Well my heart has murmured quite a bit over the years. However that makes it so much easier to write romantic poetry doesn’t it Sanaa? Beautifully written.

I really like the form of this quadrille, Sanaa. It’s like one of those old snapshot photos. We seem to be on the same track in the line:
‘In the midst of scribbled thoughts
let out a deep sigh, breathe in the
    morning air…’ 🙂
I love ‘A poem is a glimpse of murmuring heart’.
