Oblivious

Spread the love

Thou shan’t be oblivious;
Concealed from the rest.
Emerge from the crowd;
Bloom among the best.

Lash out the insults;
Its what they do.
Thee spirit impassioned;
Pray not bid adieu.

Thou has been misread;
Alas! Much too long.
Heed not to sarcasm
The world where ye belong.

Thou shan’t be oblivious;
Concealed from the rest.
Emerge from the crowd;
Bloom among the best.

  1. I like this very much – this was how I started writing: when someone implored me to write. I found it gave me an identity and a voice. It saved my life and that’s what your poem reminds me of. Thanks, excellent poem.

  2. You are a beautiful flower with so many petals of poetry yet to be revealed to the world. I for one look forward to the garden of verse that you have still hidden in your heart.

    You are a sun shine person on even the gloomiest of days!!

  3. “Bloom among the best” is a line I do like. It fits your good friend, L.Moon’s advice. I am glad too that he still reads your work and came for this one to encourage you some more.
