November Sky

Spread the love

November with drooping russet leaves,
where whispers tousle their essence
remind of long-ago rooms.
Sweet is ache evermore
I reach for the sky
insert soft sigh
everything
was once
you.

  1. This is just perfect, Sanaa! I love the use of long ago rooms as a metaphor and the shape of the poem adds to the sense of something lost or left behind.

    1. Aww gosh!❀️ Thank you so much, Kerry πŸ˜€ so glad you liked it!❀️

(and thank you for the lovely prompt)

  2. Isn’t it strange how the smallest of things can bring back the largest memory. I, too, like the shape of your poem, I think of it as drifting in thought. πŸ™‚
