Oh! Hwa art love?
If not a tempest!
Tis simply lies not,
In Β mere behest.
Donne love so ardent,
Entwined with desire!
Tis bargain leaving,
So much to enquire.
Oh! Hwa art love?
If not madness?
Tis paints upon,
A blank canvass!
For love sees only beauty,
A matter of time,
Before infringement,
Of duty.
Oh! Hwa art love?
If not alluring?
Tis simply has no time,
Of reassuring!
Alas! Love,
Tis so blind!
Inside thee heart,
Tis confined.

A matter of time,
Before infringement,

Love is meant to be shared and also to be given away. A matter of time before it is impacted by others and one gets disappointed. Great word usage Sanaa!

Love is indeed a mixture of wild and unpredictable things. You have expressed that forcefully. But it can also be blind, and this is not always a good thing!

Love is blind, as reality sets in and cause heartache..view love with open eyes and then you will discover all aspects of love and desire. Lovely tone in the poem.

I was thinking all the time reading this….speak to us of love.
I think I particularly loved:
‘If not madness?
Tis paints upon,
A blank canvass!’
What better love than written upon a blank slate or canvas.
Hello Donna,

There are times when an external signal or sign is required…The heart is hidden and cannot be seen, to be sure…The image seems to point to the real thing!
Eileen
