In Your Eyes

Spread the love

A look of ardor in your eyes;
One that took me by surprise.
And peace which lulls the breath of sighs;
Such earnest thoughts within me rise.

Lo! Far beneath the glistening skies
His candor soon I learned to prize.
A look of ardor in your eyes;
One that took me by surprise.

Drank deeply from his words so wise;
Just love the way you mesmerize.
Know blissful dreams may soon arise;
When part of you comes out alive.
A look of ardor in your eyes.

    It took my breath away.
    I love it.
    Smoothed so well,
    the rhyming is so subtle and sweet, sophisticated
    and understated by the perfection of the meter, and your handling of the subject
    made love all anew, again.
    Thanks,
    and now to catch my breath…
