Heart-song

Spread the love

Come with me, let us journey to a place,
where words they slice troubled waters,
where sunshine pours like drops of gold,
where a person isn’tΒ judged by deeds or
past, where sorrow seems to live nor last.

Come with me, let us beyond blue yonder
tread, devour fodder that ignites our muse
long slept, where time’s uncertain and lets
loose its strings, where happiness blooms
as though Adonis in Spring.

‘Come listen to your heart and hear it sing.’

    1. Thank you so much, Shay πŸ˜€ so glad you liked it ❀️

(and thank you for the lovely prompt)

  1. Your sanctuary is lovely–and we poets could migrate there for residency. a beautiful port /where words slice troubled waters/, where muses awaken as needed, where sorrow has little to no dominion; smile.

  2. Everything about this is beautiful. I especially like: devour fodder that ignites our muse. I want to visit this magical place!

  3. β€˜Come listen to your heart and hear it sing.’

There is always light at the end of the tunnel if one cares to look for it. Very true Sanaa!
