With sunrise burning inside of him
his mind is filled with exquisite things
some to save him, while some to steal
longing for delicious, deadly, dark desire
he pens down words until the sky slumbers
the brilliant moon and besotted sea

for it felt like sudden rush of blood
asked him what he sought at three?

She desired madness so as to outwit the pain
as quiet waves bore witness
perfection is terrifying as is fire when wild
she rather indulge one with baggage
as tears meld with reassuring rain
she deems love surreal – love peaceful

dreaming of fields with eucalyptus and rose
in a street filled with men deceitful.

This adoration was certainly not blind
for it saw and touched deep into her soul
he longs for her to want him in ways unforgivable
as fire that envelops a piece of senseless wood
every hour and second he stole a glance
with desire dribbling from corner of lips

in a moon shaded courtyard
restrained with occasional daiquiri sips.

With darkness contained until the next touch
she begins to feel his abstruse soul
outside the trees thrashed in the wind
as though conscious of the conflict within
softly shattered she gave in to slow seduction
no longer remembering what was or had been

as sin-stained roses piled onto floor
felt his gaze probe beneath her skin.
